(Christopher Kelly, Fort Worth Star-Telegram) The fifth annual Lone Star International Film Festival — which kicks off on Wednesday night with the new Alexander Payne-George Clooney drama The Descendants — has plenty of options, from features to docs, serious to funny, short films to extremely long ones. This occasionally makes for some impossible choices (especially on Saturday night, when the 20th anniversary screening of Thelma and Louise unfolds at the same time as the buzzed-about sex-addiction drama Shame), but who’s complaining? Here’s my personal tipsheet — the 10 movies I’d make certain to see over the course of the weekend. Some of these titles I’ve previously viewed; others have been high on my must-see list for months; but all of them should help make this a festival to remember.
