A Year after McQueen, Met Tries Prada/Schiaparelli On for Size

Lots of people are still talking about that Alexander McQueen show, Savage Beauty, which opened at the Met just about exactly a year ago and kept going. And going. And going, to the point where the Met had to significantly extend its hours (and disallow its members to bypass the gigantic line, lest a riot break out) in order to accommodate everyone, and who knows if that actually happened, anyway. So: here’s spring, again, and the Met’s got another big fashion exhibit planned, this one a Prada and Schiaparelli combination, which shares some thematic elements, apparently, with Louis Malle’s My Dinner with Andre, and features shiny, mirrored corridors made of glass.
