Classical music in Detroit has had an interesting year, rebuilding itself and its reputation after last year’s crippling Detroit Symphony Orchestra strike. The DSO has put much of that strife behind them, however, and are venturing further afield to spread their sound throughout neighboring communities, and other local classical institutions are following suit with programming and residencies that push the envelope.
