Probably it’s only going to play the larger art houses – The Dark Knight Rises doesn’t have much to worry about, I don’t believe – but anyone interested in the art world of the 21st Century should keep an eye out for Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, a documentary on the dissident Chinese artist, who is mercifully no longer in jail but still quivering beneath a looming and likely trumped-up tax evasion bill. Ai remains unbowed, though, perhaps the best embodiment going of Charles Bukowski’s mantra: “If you’re going to try, go all the way.
