(Andrew Gans, Playbill) Five-time Tony winner Angela Lansbury is one of a select group of individuals who will be deemed a “Living Landmark” next month.
The New York Landmarks Conservancy will bestow its distinguished “Living Landmarks” awards at a Nov. 2 celebration at The Plaza Hotel. Liz Smith will host the gala.
In addition to Lansbury, others who will achieve this status are businessman and philanthropist Lewis B. Cullman; theatre historian Louise Kerz Hirschfeld; renowned restaurateur Danny Meyer and television personality Regis Philbin. Former New York City Mayor David N. Dinkins will receive the Lew Rudin Living Landmark Award for Public Service.
