Mercifully, the overwhelming impact of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans softens an infinitesimal bit every day – inexorable passage of time and the like, dragging us away into the future, one where hopefully the levees that protect the city have a slightly stronger foundation, because the city continues to rebuild and reinvent itself. Specifically, we here talk of the plethora of new galleries that have sprung up recently on an otherwise underused (gritty, edgy, etc.) section of St. Claude Avenue in the Bywater.
