“Blue Bear” Makes Its Way to Anchorage

Juneau’s Perseverance Theatre debuted a play last year, The Blue Bear, which had patrons rhapsodizing about its quality. The problem with Alaska, of course, is that distance is different up there, which is another way of saying that Juneau is a LONG way from Anchorage – 850 miles, approximately, which is a hell of a long way to drive to see a play. (It’s a hell of a long way to drive to see anything, really.) Perseverance has come through, though, bringing The Blue Bear to the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Anchorage for a brief weekend run through February 18.
