Carnegie Hall Announces Eclectic 2012-13 Season

Carnegie Hall has got some stuff coming up next year. The 2011-12 season was sort of a one-off, dedicated as it was to the 120th anniversary of the place, but they’re heading back to more familiar ground, namely the recent emphasis on monthlong festivals, with the upcoming 2012-13 season. This year it’s “Voices of Latin America”, with Gilberto Gil and Gustavo Dudamel among the featured names. There’s also the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra – comprised of Arab and Israeli musicians – doing all 9 Beethoven symphonies, and Renee Fleming giving a quartet of concerts for “Carnegie Perspectives”.
