Andreas Mitisek, already the general and artistic director of the Long Beach Opera, adds another to his sheaf of titles beginning next September 1, when he assumes control of the Chicago Opera Theater as well. Noted for shaking up the LBO with his programming choices and methods of marketing, Mitisek also managed to get rid of more than $300k of accumulated LBO debt.
