Columbus Symphony is Playing for the Kids this Weekend

Just like Wu Tang, back in the day. On Saturday night, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra will back Johnny Mathis as the improbably well-preserved crooner lays down some of his patented aural seduction at the Ohio Theater. Johnny’ll probably get to sleep in on Sunday, but the CSO will be right back at it on Sunday afternoon. To an extent, that is – guest conductor Michael Berkowitz, who will also be at the stick for Mathis, will lead the CSO through its second “Concert for Kids” of the year beginning at 3 Sunday at the Riffe Center’s Capitol Theatre. The program ranges from Hokey Pokey to the waltz from Eugene Onegin. (Michele Lemmon, The Columbus Dispatch)
