Birmingham’s Chamber Music Society is about to end its season, again. Time does fly. They’ve brought back the Old City String Quartet to close things out for 2011-12, although Old City is now calling itself the Dover String Quartet. The personnel remain the same, however, and Tuesday’s program at the Alys Stephens Center is replete with Debussy, Bartok and Haydn. Also, hey, it’s going to be hotter than the hinges of hell, soon.
