The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is just four months into its fundraising season, and contributions to the organization already have exceeded those received in its last fiscal year.
The Annual Fund campaign raised $6.4 million, from Sept. 1, 2011, through Dec. 31, 2011. That is 83 percent more than the DSO raised by the end of 2010 and more than half of its $12 million goal for this fiscal year, the DSO announced Tuesday.
