The Twinhead Theatre (motto: “Yeah, we went there”) doesn’t seem to have much interest in the standard trappings of theater – you know, stages and sets and things like that. Operating under the logic that every performance is, in some sense, theatrical, they do outdoor shows, interactive Web-based shows, all sorts of shows that knock the dust off of Ye Olde Creaky Theatre. So, then, the thinking goes, why not throw a festival? They’ve been working on a fringe fest for Atlanta since 2010, and now, on May 9, they get it, the whole city gets it, the first annual Atlanta Fringe Festival, five venues, twenty-plus theater groups, ushered in in spring, this time of green rebirth.
