Less of a dilemma than it might have been, now that the new Expo Chicago art fair is debuting at Navy Pier in September, it’s nonetheless a shame that Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. has pulled the plug on the 2012 Next Art Chicago fair, citing, eh, let’s say “money woes”. Pick your jaws up off the floor, I know, I know. There’s a lot of mud being flung between MMPI and the Chicago Art Dealers Association, whatever the cause.
