Broadway usually opens about forty shows in any given season, and it’s probably going to wind up doing about that this season. But now we’re in April, which is Broadway’s earthquake month, and the new shows are rolling out in a frantic wave, three last week, seven this week, all to get in under the Tony eligibility wire, which is coming up, rapidly, on Thursday.
