L.A. Chamber Orchestra celebrates two decades of “Harbor Freeway Overture”

Twenty years ago, Kent Twitchell installed his gigantic, eight-story-tall mural honoring the L.A. Chamber Orchestra, “Harbor Freeway Overture”, on the side of a building overlooking the 110 Freeway. Since then, it’s loomed there over countless passing cars, attracting innumerable pairs of eyes, not being painted over (unlike Twitchell’s sadly lost Ed Ruscha memorial.)
