Tonight, at the Park Avenue Armory, the Merce Cunningham Dance Company dances the first of what will be its capstone trio of performances. This is it – the swan song for the last group of dancers Cunningham himself chose, trained, and directed, the end of the MCDC, and, no hyperbole, the end of an important era in modern dance.
