The International Festival of Art and Ideas isn’t due to start until June 18, so this is maybe jumping the gun a little, but that is the only concession we’ll make, because the International Festival of Art and Ideas is going to host a talk with Philippe Petit, and Philippe Petit walked a wire between the Twin Towers. This is something that you might have heard about – there was a film, too, which garnered some acclaim – but we’d just now like to draw your attention to the photograph to the left, and remind you, once again, precisely what this little French guy did in 1974. He’ll speak on the 18th, there will be a screening of Man on Wire, and there are acres and acres of things to do in New Haven during those two weeks, June 18 – 30. So. Go see some things in June.
