For two decades now, New Orleans jazz legend Ronnie Kole and his wife have thrown open the gates to their home in Slidell for “Jazz on the Bayou”, two days of music, food, and door prizes which serve to benefit Easter Seals, STARC, and a host of other local charities. This year’s edition is happening the weekend of March 31, but tickets, as they do, are going quickly, so if you’re feeling the urge, act on it. Tickets are a hundred dollars, and 80% is tax deductible. (New Orleans Times-Picayune)
