The New York City Opera took a baby step toward renewed viability yesterday; the company has announced a tentative agreement with the union representing its orchestra, although the deal’s yet to be ratified. No word yet on the fate of the opera’s staging of La Traviata, scheduled to begin February 9 at BAM. But, hey, any forward progress at this point is probably a net positive. (FULL ARTICLE: Daniel J.
