Now Stefan Sagmeister Wants Everyone To Get Happy, Too

In February, it was Roko Belic, offering us his film Happy for free; now graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister (who, incidentally, also has a film about happiness/being happy/etc. called The Happy Film, although his is not yet finished) is setting up a show at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia that deals with – surprise! – being happy, specifically the steps that Mr. Sagmeister is taking in order to become happy, in the same way someone embarking upon a weight-loss regimen might check his or her progress daily. Essentially, Sagmeister wants to unpack his happiness like a suitcase, and show us all his linens. Give the man his due; this is not your typical art show. The opening reception’s tomorrow night at 6. (FULL ARTICLE: Randy Kennedy, The New York Times)
