Lots of things happened down at Zuccotti Park before Occupy Wall Street was unceremoniously evicted from that public space on November 15; one that didn’t get much play in the media was the sheer amount of art created, as a sort of decorative protest. In an attempt to make permanent some of the pieces created, a series of installations have been put on display at various non-profit venues in downtown NYC and Brooklyn (including a window installation at Printed Matter in Chelsea, which closes tomorrow), and now a group within OWS is putting out feelers for a permanent, multi-use arts space, suitable for teach-ins, film screenings and the like.
