OKC Museum of Art is Only U.S. Stop for “Princely Treasures”

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has been renovating its European galleries, which is the sort of thing that museums should probably do once in a while lest they get termites or squatters. As a result of this, the V&A had no place to put the things that are traditionally on display in the European galleries, so they boxed them up and sent them on tour. Don’t know where they’ve been so far – Western Australia, I think – but now they’re finally on the way to the colonies, and Oklahoma City snagged the coup: if you want to see Princely Treasures, an eighty-piece exhibit featuring lots of things from the 17th to 19th centuries that have never left England, hie thee to OKC, posthaste. (Actually, not quite “posthaste”; the exhibition doesn’t open until Thursday.) (FULL ARTICLE: Rick Rogers, Look at OKC)
