Pat Sajak Will Star in ‘The Odd Couple’ in Connecticut, Because Why Not

Apparently, he’s done this sort of thing before, so let’s all just be cool and not poke at him or anything; there’s an established precedent, see? But yes, Pat Sajak will burn through some of this summer’s Wheel of Fortune hiatus on the boards at the Nutmeg Summer Series, reprising his take on OCD neat freak Felix Ungar starting June 21. He’s paired, once again, with Honolulu newsman Joe Moore; they’ve split the stage in the past in other shows, not only the aforementioned 2001 Odd Couple but also Simon’s Honeymooners in 2004 and Bernard Sabath’s Boys of Autumn, so this is not quite the overwhelming rarity that it seems at first glance, and by all accounts Pat Sajak is a fine guy with a great sense of humor about himself and his career, but still, Pat Sajak is going to be in a Neil Simon play, which: really?
