Film is fragile, right? Celluloid, 35mm, whatever, it’s like vinyl. It’s analog. It degrades. Kind of surprising, in retrospect, that it took until the mid-1980s for anyone to think that it might be a good idea to have a national repository and restoration facility for things like, I don’t know, Casablanca.
