Print aficionados probably already know Portland as a hive of printmaking activity; anyone who doesn’t will certainly have the veils pulled from his or her eyes next month, when Stumptown Printers, the Pacific Northwest College of Art, and the Portland Art Museum all opening print-centric shows. There’s also the Prints for PICA show on the 17th, in which dozens of local artists will print at the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art all day, then sell the work at the end.
