Reputation Apparently Salvaged, Mike Daisey Is Developing Something New for Cape Cod Theater Project

Well, either the arts don’t do controversy and scandal the way they used to, or people honestly don’t care all that much about the truth anymore. Either way, Mike Daisey, who was recently raked over the coals by Ira Glass, of all people, on This American Life over fabrications in both Daisey’s TAL story “Mr. Daisey and the Apple Factory” and Daisey’s Off-Broadway smash The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, is now heading up to Cape Cod to work up a new piece, alongside director Jean-Michele Gregory, at the Cape Cod Theater Project beginning next month. Which is in no way to suggest that Mike Daisey not be allowed to have a career after what happened with his tale of the Foxconn factory, but is it just me or did that whole story go away rather surprisingly quickly?
