All of a sudden, Sacramento is without its ceramics competition. Lincoln Arts, the nonprofit group that’s run the Feats of Clay competition for twenty-five years, abruptly pulled the plug last week, essentially saying the same thing a distressing number of arts groups have had to say across the country in the last couple of years: “We have no money. Bye, now.” Lincoln Arts’ move was enough of a shock that the Sacramento community is now trying to scramble together a plan to rebuild the Feats festival.
