Sacramento’s Capital Stage Heads for the “True West”

Let us just jump in here for a second and say that if there’s a chance you can see Sam Shepard’s caustic and bitterly funny slice of Americana, True West, on stage somewhere, you should probably do it, because Sam Shepard is one staggeringly good playwright, even if it might be easier these days to picture him as the raspy, windblown Chuck Yeager in The Right Stuff or whoever the hell he was supposed to be playing in The Notebook. So if you’re in or around Sacramento between here and April 22, you should bear in mind that Capital Stage is presenting True West in a production featuring Jonathan Rhys Williams and Eric Baldwin, and act accordingly.
