The economy’s still not great! Also, we are a cheap species! It’s probably some combination of the two, in uneven dosage, but hey: who doesn’t like free stuff? Good free stuff, I mean, not like a neon-pink nylon hat advertising an anti-depressant or some other damned thing that you’ll mindlessly take home and then find six months later and wonder where the hell it came from and what on earth you were thinking when you accepted it in the first place.
