Professional critics have been getting it from all sides recently, and now Stephen Sondheim’s jumping into the fray. Sondheim takes a few pointed shots at critics in his new book, Look, I Made a Hat, writing, among other things, that “the most pernicious thing about critics (is that) they cause you to waste your time.” The book is due out today.
