The Intiman Lives, But There’s Work To Be Done

Seattle’s Intiman Theatre has been on unsteady ground for nearly a year now, with the theater’s former front office accused of drastic mismanagement of funds and an unwillingness to acknowledge the financial shortfalls before they grew perilous. Under new artistic director Andrew Russell, however, the Intiman has made its eleventh-hour deadline for raising the million dollars that it says will keep it in business; Russell also announced a four-play summer festival, featuring Hedda Gabler and Romeo & Juliet, beginning in July.
