Noted choreographic taskmaster Twyla Tharp has been trying to get a version of George MacDonald’s classic children’s novel The Princess and the Goblin off the ground and onto the stage for nearly two decades now, and if something takes Twyla Tharp that long, you’d be forgiven for wondering if it was ever going to happen. Of course, you should also never, ever doubt Twyla Tharp for any reason, ever, because Twyla Tharp chews up nails and spits out bullets.
