U. of Chicago’s Logan Center Takes Its First Steps

The University of Chicago’s gigantic new Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts – eleven stories of pure artistic enjoyment – starts getting broken in today, when U of C students begin “pouring into” the place; someone called David Robbins will be in the Center’s Performance Penthouse 901 this evening at five, but U of C’s website has no further information. It’s going to be well worth keeping an eye on the Logan Center throughout this spring and summer, even though it’s not officially opening until early October, because it’s not every day that art galleries, performances halls, black box theaters and film screening rooms unite under one roof, and the Logan’s design is such that many of its spaces are connected via hallway or corridor.
