Uchida Joins Cleveland Orchestra for a Wealth of Mozart

Baseball season opens today, or so the league heavies would have it, although there have already been three games played, on two different continents, so who really knows what’s going on. What we can say for certain is that the Indians host the Blue Jays today at 3:05, which means that the game will likely be over by six or six-thirty, and the extraordinarily talented Mitsuko Uchida hits the stage at Severance with the Cleveland Orchestra at 8, which gives you enough time to leave the Jake, splash some water on your face, grab a quick bite, and roll across town for Mozart’s Piano Concertos Nos. 9 and 21, served up piping hot, along with Serenade No. 11, by Ms. Mitsuko. Now there’s a Thursday to get behind. (Oh, yeah, it’s Mitsuko’s 100th concert with the orchestra, too, so, anniversary!) (FULL ARTICLE: Zachary Lewis, Cleveland Plain Dealer)
