Good question. The pair that founded the new company, Charles Askegard and Michele Wiles, both former principal dancers at eminent American ballet companies, say that they’re both primarily concerned with standards of quality – thematically and structurally, nearly everything else is up for grabs. The company had its debut performance at the Joyce last month, and is apparently aiming to become a fixture on the New York dance scene. Good for them.
