Montana native Theodore Waddell scraped the ceiling, price-wise, at the Yellowstone Art Museum on Saturday, selling his “Motherwell’s Angus #24” for ten grand at the annual YAM Art Auction. And now everything’s starting to come up Waddell, with word emerging yesterday about the Denver Art Museum’s planned 26-painting Waddell exhibition. Slated to open May 20, the Waddell show will hang in DAM’s Gates Family Gallery through November 18. How nice it is, to see the YAM getting along with the DAM. (Jaci Webb, Billings Gazette)
