Baltimore Concert Opera

The Baltimore Concert Opera seeks to present works in an unadorned style more akin to oratorio than to traditional, fully-staged opera. The intent is to focus the audience’s attention on the voice first and foremost. English supertitles accompany all the performances. Lyric Opera Baltimore

Thus a recent Facebook entry noted, “Opera Vivente is translating its ass off. Yes, opera companies have asses. They’re just normally referred to as directors.
