Pittsburgh Kicks Off Summer With Three Rivers Arts Festival

The 53rd annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival is underway, and the event promises a chance to view a wide variety of art. Organized by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the festival spreads out over Point State Park, Hertz Gateway Center, and throughout the Cultural District, delivering a number of attractions dedicated to showcasing new and emerging artists.

Newest Installment of ‘Gestures’ Opens At The Mattress Factory

In 2001, the Mattress Factory initiated the Gestures exhibition series to present new works by regional artists. On March 30, 2012, the sixteenth installment of the series opened at the museum’s annex gallery located at 1414 Monterey Street on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Pittsburgh Gets Animated with New ToonSeum Exhibit

The ToonSeum, Pittsburgh’s museum of comic and cartoon art, is honoring animation legend and Pittsburgh native, Lou Scheimer. A dedication ceremony for the new Lou Scheimer Gallery will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
