JPAS event tonight features ‘Phantom’

Brad Little, a man who made his mark playing the title role of the “Phantom of the Opera” on the national tour returns to New Orleans tonight with the first of two fundraiser events for the Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS). Tonight’s event at Tulane’s Dixon Hall also stars local cabaret and musical theatre star Leslie Castay and nationally prominent operatic tenor Juan Carlos Valls.

Brad Little stars in events tonight, Friday and Sunday.

The event is intended as a fundraiser for JPAS and will feature artistic director Dennis Assaf in a true family affair with his wife Nancy Ross Assaf and daughter Ariel. Also slated to be on the bill tonight are musical theatre composer Glyn Bailey (“Scandalous”), local actress-singers Micah Desonier and Jennifer Delatte and baritone Gregory Gerbrandt, last seen here locally as Schaunard in last year’s JPAS production of “La Boheme.”

Tickets are $30 with discounts available for seniors, students and active military and are available online here: https://tickets.jpas.org/Public/daily_events_list.asp or by calling 504-885-2000.

Those who cannot make tonight’s concert. Take care. The event repeats this Sunday afternoon (November 13) in Slidell at the Northshore Performing Arts Theatre at 2:00 p.m.

Friday night’s “Pasta and Puccini” fundraiser at the New Orleans Intercontinental Hotel will also star Little, but it is already sold out.
