Dogfight , staged by Slow Burn Theatre Company, starts off the series with the winner of the prestigious 2013 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical.  Based on the 1991 cult classic movie, a young marine begins an unlikely, yet poignant romance with a shy, awkward waitress the night before he ships off to Vietnam. Emotional combat comes to life as morals, values, humility and humanity are explored and dissected in the musical the Associated Press labeled, “something special!…Studded with impressive songs, an unexpected love affair and a genuine and charming soul.”  The musical runs Thursday, November 12–Sunday, November 29 with performances Thursdays–Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $45.

Arts Radio Network Theater and the Broward Center present It’s A Wonderful Life that combines the nostalgia of classic radio drama and the excitement of a live theatrical performance. This heartwarming holiday classic tells the inspirational story of the self-doubting do-gooder George Bailey and the endearing, angel-in-training Clarence who demonstrates how George had a positive impact on so many people’s lives.  Performances are Friday and Saturday, December 4 and 5, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Described as Mamma Mia! meets La Cage aux Folles, Diva Diaries tells the story of three dynamic drag queens, all on the verge of nervous breakdowns, as they prepare for their final night on stage.  Extremely funny and touching, Diva Diaries has an energetic pop score and eye-popping production numbers evoking the ’80s, ’90’s and ’00s.  The musical captures the raucous fun of a drag show, with outrageous costumes, high energy choreography and wigs and heels to boot.   Feathers are going to fly as the Divas spill secrets, dish it out, fall apart and come together. Diva Diaries is a celebration of friendship, family, and fabulous fun!  The musical is presented National Arts Institute and the Broward Center.  The show runs Wednesday, January 6–Sunday, January 31 with performances Wednesday–Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $45.

Everybody comes to Rick’s and audiences won’t want to miss this staging of the classic radio play. Romance/Romance is feisty, frothy and fun as two one-act musicals reveal how danger and illusion can spark the fiery flames of attraction. Two couples in Vienna pursue a delightful romp to elude sexual ennui at the turn of the 20th century; then the musical takes a modern look at affection and disaffection of two Manhattan couples summering in the Hamptons.  This Broadway and Off-Broadway hit is staged by Slow Burn Theatre Company.  The musical runs Thursday, February 11–Sunday, March 6 with performances Thursday–Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $45.
