If you haven’t yet purchased your tickets for one of Blue Man’s Group’s January performances at the Orpheum theater, you better put it on your to-do list. This is a show you just don’t want to miss.

I saw Blue Man Group years ago in Las Vegas, and later tried to explain what I saw to friends. I managed to explain that there were people catching marshmallows in their mouths and at the end the audience participated in what can only be described as a toilet paper bonanza, but what I couldn’t seem to be able to get across was how magnificent the performance was. Simply put, if you have not yet seen Blue Man Group then now is the time.

This is a fun show. I know this is perhaps not the most eloquent endorsement of a performance, but there is really no better way to convey what type of show you’re getting when you buy tickets. When I say “fun,” I don’t mean dogs wearing skirts and jumping through hoops or comedians making everyone chuckle. What I mean is a mesmerizing performance that has artistic value, while also pasting a huge smile on your face. It’s a show that is appropriate for a wide range of ages; while I wouldn’t take a very young child, I do think that older kids will really enjoy this show.
