Fresh off its world premiere at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, the one-woman show The Wedding Warrior will be playing the first ever Fort Lauderdale Fringe Festival, Saturday May, 2nd, 2015! Loosely based on playwright/Performer, Casey Dressler’s time working as a wedding coordinator in Islamorada, FL, The Wedding Warrior, is the tale of an unwed, 30-something, wedding coordinator in small town Key Largo who proves love truly is a battlefield. Join Casey as she combats her way through the mayhem and mishaps that lead up to matrimony. Better off wed? That’s just one of the questions Casey poses as she passes the torch to an incoming wedding coordinator in this comedic peek into the chaos that ensues before the vows are taken. Follow her as she imparts her pearls of wisdom and attempts to navigate the winding roads of her own heart.
Casey Dressler is a native Floridian, born in North Miami Beach and raised in the Florida Keys. She studied theatre at New World School of the Arts College Division and is a conservatory graduate of the Acting School of South Florida. In addition to producing her own work through her Fringe Theatre company, Fly Away Balloon theatre, Casey also works professionally throughout South Florida. She is a proud company member at The Alliance Theatre in Miami as well as at Thinking Cap Theatre in Fort Lauderdale.
