Ansari will have you rolling at the Aronoff

For one of the first times in Cincinnati’s history, people may actually be rolling on the floor at the Aronoff. At least, that’s what should be expected on June 9th, when Aziz Ansari takes the stage for his newest performance, Buried Alive! Despite the fact that his first comedy special was only recently released on DVD, the incredibly popular and hilarious stand up comedian already has an all new act that is sure to bring lots of laughter…and probably a little pee too.

You probably know Ansari as the annoying but well meaning Tom Haverford, from Parks & Recreation, the hit TV show with former Saturday Night Live star Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, and Rob Lowe. Or perhaps you’ve heard some of his stories on Youtube about his experiences in being friends with Kanye West– if not, you should.

Ansari seems to be just about everywhere– from several hit TV shows under his belt, including Scrubs and Parks & Recreation, to some pretty notable films such as Get Him to the Greek, Funny People, and my favorite, 30 Minutes or Less, where Ansari plays Chet, Jesse Eisenberg’s best friend who is a teacher turned bank robber! He is also a spokesperson for America Express and the voice of Squint fromIce Age: Continental Drift, coming to theaters July 13th.

According to IMDB, Ansari’s also has an upcoming cameo in the star studded comedy due out next summer– The End of the World, in which several celebrities including Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Rihanna, Emma Watson, and Ansari are gathered together during– you guessed it– the end of the world.

Don’t miss Ansari! Tickets for Buried Alive! can be purchased online or by calling (513) 621-2787. The Aronoff Center for the Arts is located at 650 Walnut Street in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, and has been home to hundreds of spectacular shows for over 16 years! Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Ansari will transform Procter & Gamble Hall into comedy free for all with all new material– not a shred from his Dangerously Delirious special, which can now be purchased online for only $5!
