In the new exhibit, Raw, at Homespace Gallery, emerging and accomplished artists are one in the same sharing a platform amazing art in its rawest form. Organized by art veterans Luis Cruz Azaceta and Sharon Jacques, it seems every visual sense is put to the test. From sculptures from the less well-known but superbly talented Monica Zeringue, to photo portraits and installations, to imagery by art veteran Peter Saul, the rawness of bad to the bone art is evident. The environment is chaotic in theory, but there is method in its madness – as well as beauty that everyone from the experienced art observer to the curious sightseer can appreciate. This co-op gallery never fails to satisfy, and this new exhibit is no different. Homespace Gallery is loocated in the St. Claude arts district, and Raw really shouldn’t be missed. Come show your appreciation for experience artists and great emerging talent in New Orleans! Exhibit open now through February 5th!
