Roger Coleman’s ’19 seconds’ at FLYNNDOG

Roger Coleman’s latest exhibition, “that was so 19 seconds ago”, can be viewed at FLYNNDOG, an art gallery found at 208 Flynn Avenue in Burlington Vermont.  The exhibit will be on view until April 28th.  This exhibit is one of many that is a part of the First Friday Art Walk, a weekly showcase of local artwork held the first Friday of each month throughout the city of Burlington.  Around forty art venues participate and there are often music, talks and other activities going on.  The next art walk is May 4th, visit ArtMapBurlington.com for a complete listing for this event.

“that was so 19 seconds ago” is described by the artist as,“murmurations, abstractions and natural highs”.  The recent paintings are a series of dream-like earth toned paintings that are best described by the artists as “thoughts”.  The exhibit is relatively small, about thirty paintings in a series along a long hall, but well worth the visit as they lead to a delicious breakfast and lunch spot called Chef’s Corners (open til 4).  FLYNN DOG is a little bit hard to find, but in a really cool spot in the South End.  If you’re not impressed with the art, drive down the rest of Flynn Avenue and walk along Lake Champlain in Oakledge Park.
