The multi-ethnic Dallas Black Dance Theatre has been actively performing since 1976, making it the oldest continuously operating dance company in Dallas. The Texas Ballet Theater
Formerly called the Ft. Worth/Dallas Ballet, the relatively new Texas Ballet Theater is the second largest professional dance company in Texas. It maintains 39 professional dancers and gives more than 50 performances in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area each year.
