Cézanne

With an incredibly intimate (but quite excellent) listening room and a stellar lineup of artists, Cezanne does its best to live up to its reputation as one of “the best jazz [clubs] in the southwest.” Recent musicians have included Randy Brecker, Fred Hersch and Jason Marsalis. Houston International Jazz Festival

(August) Houston International Jazz Festival brings a wide array of talent from all over the country to “Space City” for a three-day, multi-venue, indoor/outdoor event. Most of the performances take place outdoors at the Anheuser-Busch stage in the beautiful Discovery Green Park. Sambuca

The Sambuca franchise has done very well for itself in the South and the Houston location is no different. With excellent fine dining and a good music lineup, this is a nice spot for a chic night out. Be prepared, they do sometimes feature non-jazz acts, especially on the weekends.
