Although the free Jacksonville Jazz Festival has gone through some changes over the last few years (sometimes having to scale back and even charge admission), this popular festival has attracted many great names in jazz, such as Roberta Flack, Chris Botti, and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

Past performers at the festival have include the Eroica Trio, soprano Jessica Rivera, the Juilliard String Quartet, clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, violinist Gil Shaham, and the Ying Quartet. As part of the festival’s educational outreach, the Beth Newdome Resident Festival Artists Program instructs student musicians. …more…
