New York Jazz: Jazz Cabarets in New York

Café Carlyle

One of the pillars of New York’s cabaret scene is the great Café Carlyle in the historic Carlyle hotel. This is the crème de la crème of the cabaret experience; performers including Woody Allen, John Pizzarelli, and Christine Ebersole are the norm, and many Broadway stars grace the stage on a regular basis. Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret and Piano Bar

A staple of the NYC cabaret scene, DTM features comedy and cabaret acts, with a heavy bent toward musical theater. Feinstein’s at Loews Regency

Feinstein’s at Loews Regency is the definition of a world-class, intimate venue, with prices that match. The acts that play this Upper East Side venue are nothing short of the best. Metropolitan Room

The Metropolitan Room, a NYC cabaret spot, located near the Flatiron, features a potpourri of cabaret, musical theater and jazz performers nightly. Currently the Tuesday night home of jazz legend Annie Ross (of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross), the club also presents a bevy of New York’s cabaret elite each week and even a Streisand impersonator.

Cover charges run from $15-35 with a two-drink minimum per show. …more…

The Duplex

One of New York’s more historic (if not one of its classier) cabaret spaces, The Duplex is located in the heart of the West Village. It has been bringing almost non-stop entertainment to NYC for over 50 years (define “entertainment” as you will). ...more...
